Imagining...all of Southwark, part 2

In part two, we look at the findings for the whole of Southwark by grouped sub-categories and by individual postcode.

For the purposes of this analysis, we decided to discard the 4,127 properties in Southwark which are 'unclassified' and focus instead only on the remaining ones which have been categorised.

We grouped a number of categories together, as follows:

Community services and spaces: Community Services + Community Service Centre/Office + Public village hall/other community facility

Education: Education + Nursery/creche + Colleges + Primary, junior, infant or middle school + Secondary school + Universities

Faith: Places of worship + church halls

Hotels: Hotels, boarding & guest houses/motels + Hotels, boarding & guest houses boarding/guest house/bed and breakfast/youth hostel

Industrial: Industrial + Factory/manufacturing + Warehouse/store/storage depot + Workshop/light industrial

Land: Land allotments + Land development + Land development site + Parks + Parks playground + Public park/gardens

Leisure: Leisure + Amusements + Bingo hall/cinema/conference/theatre + Indoor/outdoor leisure/sporting activity/centre + Libraries + Museum/gallery

Medical: Medical + Dentist + General practice surgery/clinic + Hospital/hospice

Offices: Offices + Offices and work studios

Other: Commercial + Cemetery/crematorium/graveyard in current use + Law courts + Public convenience + Emergency & rescue services + Information advertising hoardings + Dual use + Military + Navy + Parent shell property shell

Residential (all residential sub-categories)

Retail: Retail + Banks/financial services + Markets (indoor & outdoor) + Other licensed premise/vendor + Petrol filling stations + Public house/bar/nightclub + Restaurant/cafeteria + Retail service agent + Shop/showroom
