The glorious regenerators of the Heygate and the Aylesbury are appealing for community 'involvement'.

Lend Lease are setting up a 'Park Advisory Group' for Elephant Park and are inviting local residents to join in.

The Park Advisory Group will have three (paid) Lend Lease representatives, three (paid) Southwark Council representatives and three 'members representing the views of local community'. The three 'members' can be any who belong to a 'recognised residents' organisation in the Elephant and Castle opportunity area.'

If you would like to be part of the advisory group, you will need to send a brief outline of the residents' organisation you represent, why you would like to be a member and the knowledge and skills you can contribute. You will need to email Lend Lease directly to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. before Tuesday 2nd September 2014.

Members of the advisory group will need to attend the meeting on Tuesday 9th September, at 18:30, where the three community representatives will be agreed on.

You can read the terms and references for the advisory group here, and more information about the Section 106 agreement is available here.

Up the road, on the Aylesbury, Notting Hill Housing Trust have announced a series of 'consultation' events in August, under the heading of 'Your Aylesbury, help shape the future', inviting local residents to give their views on the plans before the planning applications are submitted in September. Because residents' views matter so much. See also... erm...

The 'consultation' exhibition dates are as follows:

Wednesday 13th August, 12:00 - 20:00, at Thurlow Lodge

Thursday 14th August, 11:00 - 17:00 at Thurlow Lodge

Saturday 30th August, 11:00 - 16:00 at Southwark Resource Centre, 10 Bradenham Close

Architects presentation will take place on Saturday 30th, 12:00 - 13:00 at Southwark Resource Centre.

Graphic designers, in the meantime, are working on 'amazing new identity options' (what does that even mean?!) for the Aylesbury, presumably because existing 'identities' just don't sell.

Let's forget and remember and pretend you own the future!
