What makes Old Kent Road special?

Southwark Council are hosting a public meeting about the character of the Old Kent Road area on Tuesday 16th June, from 19:00, at Pembroke House SE17.

Area around the Old Kent Road is next up to be 'regenerated', as it has been declared an 'opportunity area'. Southwark Council is preparing a 'character study' of the area, which is meant to help them understand the area's history and development over the time, and the unique spaces and buildings.

They are inviting local residents to come along to the meeting on Tuesday with photos of the their streets, favourite buildings, views, spaces which mean something to them.

The meeting will take place from 19:00 - 21:00 at Pembroke House, 80 Tatum Street SE17 1QR:
