Southwark Woods day

Campaigners trying to save Southwark Woods are inviting everyone to join them for a day of events on Sunday 21st June.

The campaigners are still trying to prevent Southwark Council for destroying Southwark Woods and have organised a day of events on Sunday 21st June, from 11:00 - 16:00.

The day will kick off at Camberwell Old Cemetery (Forest Hill Road SE22), at 11:00, with a stag beetle hunt. AT 12:00 (noon), there will be a march from Camberwell Old Cemetery to Camberwell New Cemetery (Brenchley Gardens SE23), with a picnic on the hill.

There is also a free 'Writing the Woods' literary workshop for adults with author Claire Collison in the Camberwell Old Cemetery, from 14:00 - 16:00.
